by Carl Kruse
Readers of the Carl Kruse blog are invited to the book launch of Addressed – Architectures and Letters by J. Mayer H. to take place Tuesday, October 6 2026 starting at 7:30pm at the Bücherbogen Bookstore directly on Savignyplatz in Berlin.
Join us for an evening of architecture, ideas, and conversation, with special guests Kimberly Bradley and Jörg Stollmann, who will join Jürgen Mayer H., Andre Santer, and Hans Schneider to reflect on the work, its context, and the stories behind the book.
The book is printed by the Princeton University Press for the Princeton School of Architecture.

The book explores an architecture that operates on the threshold between what is and what could be. Perhaps this is one of the most compelling challenges facing architecture today—not simply to describe the world we live in, but to participate in shaping the worlds that may become possible.
Notable projects examined in the book include the border crossing in Sarpi, Georgia; a mixed-use development along the Spree River in Berlin; the RKM 740 Tower and the FOM University building in Düsseldorf; the IGZ Headquarters in Falkenberg, Germany; and the recent addition of an immersive lighting installation in the firm’s world-renowned Metropol Parasol in Seville, Spain.
J. Mayer H., is an international award-winning architectural practice founded by Jürgen Mayer H. in 1996 and joined by partners Andre Santer and Hans Schneider in 2014. Jürgen Mayer H holds a Masters in Architecture from Princeton (1994).
The event is free of charge but an RSVP to info@bucherbogen.com is appreciated.
